Size L (personal waist measurement is 88 cm, great, it falls almost in the middle!), thickness 10 mm.
Finally, a belt that exudes quality and sturdiness, yet is accessible and usable immediately without any break-in period!
In the past (uh, three decades), I had a belt from Decathlon, not very thick, but made entirely of genuine leather. Then, I started doing more outdoor physical activities and I put it away in the cellar… It became a real mold magnet!
Having resumed my physical activities in the gym for a few months, I was looking for a belt to progress, protect my spine, feel truly supported, without feeling restricted.
What is not mentioned in the description:
2 rows of 10 staggered holes each (as pictured), the adjustment by alternating translation between each hole above/below measures 1/2 inch, or 1.27 centimeters (measured using a tailor's tape measure, inside the waistband arranged in a circle), therefore this also confirms the ultra-precise and progressive adjustment indicated in the description
A sturdy single-prong buckle (as pictured) held in place by 6 rivets. During my first use/session with this belt, I can confirm that it's easier to put on and especially to take off compared to a double-prong buckle; in short, a buckle I can rely on without any hassle
. it seems that it is composed of 3 layers, from the outside in: 2 layers of hard leather and 1 thinner layer of suede leather close to the body, therefore soft to the touch, limits the effects of perspiration and limits slippage.
This was confirmed by the description during my first use/session with this belt:
. the support
. “Quite flexible” (a reassuring mention when I placed my order to differentiate this belt from its 13mm thick counterpart), I would rather say semi-rigid, yet allowing for immediate and relatively comfortable wear without digging into my false ribs (I have a rather short torso)
The Warrior Gear logo printed on the back of the belt is relatively discreet from a distance, which is just as well since I haven't been a warrior for a few decades now…
Finally, for barely more than twice the price of a D4 belt in "recycled leather" with a double prong buckle sewn and not riveted, there is frankly no reason to hesitate.
THANK YOU to Warrior Gear !
